Welcome to the Roux Library's Textbook on Reserve guide.
Although the Roux Library does not usually have textbooks, we do suggest that students come to the Library and check at the front desk. We now have a Pilot Program of Textbooks on Reserve, which is a way for students to have temporary access to textbooks in some classes. This guide provides information on how to find materials needed for classes and also provides alternatives to purchasing materials.
The purpose of this program is to help students gain access to their textbooks for major courses in a cost efficient manner. Textbooks for this project were chosen because they are used in multiple core courses with high enrollment, multiple sections, and are usually at a higher cost. There are a total of thirty-five textbooks for thirty different courses on reserve. Lab manuals and workbooks are not available.
Students can search the materials available from the course reserves site by typing in the course number in the search tab. The courses that have materials available on reserve will be listed there and are also listed here. Materials are: located at the circulation desk on the first floor in the Library; available to students for a two (2) hour period; and may not leave the building.
